Here's the deal. I had to uninstall the trial versionof Norton Anti-Virus to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus. and it works just fine... at home. at home, Kaspersky works great. However my problem begins abroad, at my college.
You see, we have to "log in" to use the college's wifi. Afterwards, we have to let a program called "Blue Socket" scan our computers for p2p applications and approve our laptops for internet usage. If something's wrong, you can't use it.
For me, my problem is that Blue Socket says I don't have anti-virus software installed. It was working just fine with Norton, but it won't work with Kaspersky. Kasperbest p2p software 2011sky is missing something that Norton had, and it's stopping me from using the internet at school!
Please... I'm desparate. I don't want to pay another $70 for more anti-virus software. Is there anything I can do?
If it helps, it's Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011. I got it from Best Buy with my laptop. My OS is Windows 7.
BTW, I already asked the Geek Squad. Didn't help. Tried Googling it, didn't help. You guys are my last hope! :D
If you need an antivirus download this one by microsoft. Its FREE for ever(not a trial) and I use it on my Windows 7 Home Premium.
And for your wifi problem. Search walmart or newegg for some Wireless USB adapters if best p2p software 2011you need some internet. You'll have it wherever you goooo! :P good luck
Until you get it fixed with campus techs, uninstall kaspersky for now and try installing a freebie
See if that is a temporary solution
Geek Squad does not deal with Blue Socket. You need to contact campus techs.
I was going to suggest Blue Socket but if it is bluesocket.com then they have a broken search tool, terrible looking customer support page. Maybe the campus techs do not have Kaspersky on the list of antivirus software. I don't see why. Kaspersky is one of the best ones.
